Matthew Buhts

Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Buhts heads the team responsible for the acquisition and financing for all real estate projects in the CarrAmerica portfolio. Prior to Carr, Matt was the Director of Acquisitions for Clark Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), where he sourced and structured joint venture equity investments for ground- up development projects consisting of multi-family, office and hotel properties (stabilized value of approximately $900M). In addition to equity investments, Mr. Buhts oversaw all debt financing for real estate portfolio with a gross value in excess of $2.7B. Prior to CEI, Matt was an Assistant Vice President for iStar Financial and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Matt received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Harvard University and a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
